The End of the Beginning

The brightly coloured dots of forest and fire.

I think of the half shapes of animals and birds disappearing from our world. I think of each circle as if the cycle of a day, a week, a hundred thousand years that life became. I think of my time as witness to the end of the beginning. All life, subject to the choice of human acts, or inaction.
