An unnatural landscape of buildings and roads sprawl endlessly towards the distant horizon. Mist settles in the mid-ground as thin cloud stretches against the dull blue sky.

As I gaze at this image I am struck by how there is not the slightest hint of the natural world. This is a place where the city exists alone in its grand isolation.
