My first sight of a puffin was on a trip to Orkney, an ancient northern land of beautiful changing light and mist. This relatively small sea bird attracts the heart like no other with its strength, flight, and vibrant colours.

A puffin takes flight close to a cliff edge with flowing water and the sea far below. Their friend, another puffin, speeds ahead of a clear wave with rocks beyond.
