Distance can be a little like time. It seems endless, or holds no sway at all. The choice is always ours.

'So Far' emerged from many hours of improvisation as I pondered on the space that separates one from another. Music makes known in a way words do not. As we listen to music, for its moment, our time becomes the same. I played, you hear. We share, despite the distance of our place and time. Perhaps this is why I am drawn so powerfully to music.

Jazz stretches between the tender classical lyricism of the start and end of the piece, like the ease and care of friends. Swing is an expression of freedom and spontaneity, a style far more of the body than the mind.
