A pillar leads to a wooden slatted ceiling.

Still photography encourages me see those things around me with a fresh eye. I am not only drawn to the curious visual relationship between the concrete white pillar as it travels towards the carefully crafted opening of the ceiling, I consider a different imaginative perspective where the the smooth shape might be thought of as a white pencil, ready to make its mark. My mind turns further to think of this image as a metaphor of architectural practice.
